Depart at 9:00 from your accommodation heading north past Malindi. First stop at the Tree of Life: the largest baobab in the area (it takes more than 20 people to embrace its trunk). Second stop at the Sabaki River to spot hippos and crocodiles. Continue to Che Shale beach (golden sand that sparkles brilliantly). Along the way, visit a salt factory and spot the pink flamingos that migrate from Lake Nakuru. Final stretch by canoe through a mangrove channel to Robinson Island. Lunch on the island: freshly caught fish, prawns and crabs. Two afternoon options: (1) Combine with the Marafa excursion (depart at 15:00 for the canyon); (2) Relax on the beach until 16:30 and return.
